Scuba Diving on North Bay Island
Scuba diving is diving underwater with the help of an underwater breathing apparatus (scuba), which is completely independent of surface supply, to breathe underwater. This activity is conducted under the supervision of a professional certified Divemaster who accompanies every participant independently.
What you get to experience
As a participant of the Introductory Scuba Diving program, you will get to dive underwater in the coral reefs of North Bay Island with your Divemaster. You will be required to wear a diving suit and all other equipment will be provided to you. The program includes on-shore training on safety and underwater communication techniques.
While you dive underwater our photographer will take your underwater photographs and small video clips for you to share on social media. The photographs and video clips will be instantly transferred to your smartphone.

The total duration of the activity is 60 minutes which involves underwater diving for approximately 20 to 30 minutes.

North Bay Island is a 20 minutes speed boat ride from Port Blair (Water Sports Complex). The boat tickets to North Bay can be booked online here.

Some FAQs about Discover Scuba Diving
Is it mandatory to know about swimming?
No, it is not. Even if you know swimming, you should not try to swim on your own while diving. Every participant is accompanied by a Dive Master who will hold you with your tank throughout the dive.
Is it safe?
It is a very safe activity as all our divers are professionally trained and certified by PADI (Australia) and SSI.
Age limit
Anyone above 12 years of age can do Scuba Diving.
Medical restrictions
You need to fill out a medical declaration form declaring that you are medically fit to undergo Scuba Diving. Pregnant ladies and people with ear infections are not permitted to dive.
